Its easy for a company to say they use organic or recyclable/recycled goods - but there is no need to take them at their word.
At nooshie, we only work with companies or organisations who can back-up their claims with evidence and certifications - and these mean we can ensure we are giving a quality product to you.
All of our packaging and products conform to vital standards. This includes not only our clothing, but our packaging, hangers, tags and so on.
As far as organic textiles go, our garments are certified as Textile by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). These standards for the processing of fibres from certified organic agriculture were completed on the 10th August 2010.
The clothing hangers that our garments sit on have been certified by Bureau Veritas for the manufacturing of slipper paper hanger and clothes paper hangers certified as FSC Recycled on the 8th September 2010.
The packaging of our products is also environmentally conscious.
The ink used on these products is soy ink and complies with the Food and Drug Administration Regulations for determining the components of paper and paperboard in contact with aqueous and fatty foods. The latest test report was conducted on Jan 15, 2010 and the test complied with these standards.
The CMK ink was also tested. SONY SS-00259, SCCP, Organotin, PCBs, PCNs and PCTs were tested and all samples were dissolved totally. The latest test was conducted on Jan 22, 2009.
The gloss art paper was also tested. Tests conducted include RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC, Extractable Formaldehyde, Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBP-A) and Perfluorooctane Sulfonates (PFOS). This test was conducted on Jul 6 2010 and the results complied with the RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC and its subsequent amendments.
